Agreements signed to enhance cooperation between sister provinces Guangdong and Limburg of Belgium

Under the gaze of Frank Smeets, the visiting first Vice-Governor of Limburg, and He Zhongyou, Vice-Governor of Guangdong and some senior officials from Limburg and Guangdong governments. three agreements have been signed by sister provinces Limburg and Guangdong on December 8th.
Led by Smeets, Limburg government delegation visited Guangdong from December 5th to 11th. Jean-Paul Peuskens, vice-governor of Limburg, Erik Gerits, vice-governor of Limburg, Els Luyckfasseel, Director of Information and Communication Department of Limburg and Hilda Cuppens, Director of Department of Education of Limburg were among the delegators.
When welcoming the delegation, He Zhongyou indicated that since last June when Guangdong and Limburg signed the sister relationship agreement, the two sides have organized several governmental delegations to visit each other and actively promoted bilateral communication and cooperation in economy, education, culture and publicity.
He expressed his expectations that in future Guangdong and Limburg would enhance bilateral cooperation in aspects of high technology, higher education, advanced manufacturing, maritime logistics and tourism.
Smeets delivered his gratitude to Guangdong’s warmly reception. He introduced that this was his second time visiting Guangdong after more than 10 years. He hoped to reinforce the communication and cooperation with Guangdong and boost bilateral friendship.
Three agreements were signed between the Information and Communication Department of Limburg and the Information Office of the People's Government of Guangdong Province, Hasselt University and Guangdong University of Technology, and Hasselt Hotel College and Guangdong Tourism Institute respectively.
